hi after update to 2.7 im getting this error after creating a record

So your saying if a user updates the configuration to the application on a test version then to apply those updates to the live site the only way is to export all data from any entities that hold data which may have been updated. Reinstall the back up from the test site. Remove all data then re add ...

It is still unclear to me how to update a live site without fuss of hours of effort.
Or having to shut down the app for hours whilst doing it.
It needs to be as simple as it is to restore a back up but without overwriting any data on particular entities.

I understand I can create a back up and install it to a fresh install of ruk in another folder on the server. But I dont understand how to update the app then reinstall at live site ...
