Everything works just fine except this one particular template, my invoice template. It started misbehaving yesterday evening. It has been fine all day since I have been fine-tuning some settings on it. I even tried copying it and then deleting the old one. And yet it still continues not to save any...

Sure, but I just remembered that when you do it the way I do, it does not export DATA, just your structure (entities, global lists, etc.). So probably best you listen to the boss!

Or export like you would do if you were going to share a template. Then create your sandbox for your own copy that you are wanting to share with your school, import that file, and then you can delete anything that's not needed, and continue to add and refine it as you go.
