As part of this we need to be able to select any field (or at lease a Mysql query field ) to be able to email to to be able to select it when we are creating email sending rules)

Hi that is correct , to import ALL heading fields can only be field type "Input Field"

Is the field you refer to the heading field ? if so you can only import when the heading field is an input field (for multilevel imports) other fields will import as long as they are not the heading field

Hi hard to follow - but I would put all of your budget items in a sub entity and either by date or item flag / status tag them as current year then using functions in the extension add them then bring into the parent using a mysql formula field or use item pivot table in the extension to show the data

Thanks that didnt seem to work - it is in the same application I just gave you access too entity 42 field [442] global list id is =2 and comparison fields are [599] and [1672]

you could put your sub tasks into a sub entity then run a function in a mysql formula field for the parent record to count the open tasks when it hits 0 that trigger can be used in the auto status settings.
You can simply hide the mysql formula field from users so they dont see the calculation
