Related Entities section in Item Page configuration does not show entity if self-referencing to same entity

If I specifiy an entity field which references to the same entity this field and entity is not shown at "Related Entities" on "Item Page Configuration" screen.

Background (example): I want to build a reference from table client to table client to specifiy dependencies between clients => this works perfectly by specifying a field of type entitiy. But then I want to see all referenced clients on item info page. All records from related entities are provided in section "Related Entities" except the current entity itself.

Not clear, can you provide screenshot, please.

Also why you use Related items? It's many-to-many relation. Probably just field Entity will be enough.

I am using field entity (not Related Items). What I mean is the possibility to add related items to a page using "Releated Entities" section in the "Item Page Configuration" dialogue. Please look at attached images.
